Welcome
As the Chairman of a committee of dedicated volunteers it is an honour to write the welcome page to our very own Perth & Kinross Sports Council web-site.
The Sports Council has now been in existence for some 35 years and over that period there have been many changes with Executive Members coming and going and also the Membership has increased. We have quite recently changed the way that the Sports Council operates and we all believe that this is a plus for the sporting fraternity of Perth & Kinross.
The Executive Committee no longer meet in Perth 10 times a year, we now have 5 bi-monthly meetings and the alternative meetings are geographical, where we travel to the areas where our representatives are based. By adopting this method, we can give out information about us and how we work, for example, how we give out grants and who the main contacts are. Also it gives the chance for you the membership to make us aware of your concerns or indeed give us information on things like your own events, which you would like us to pass on to other member organisations or individuals.
So, please take a look at our new web-site, we will be pleased to hear of any comments that you have but most of all, this is your web-site, use it to your advantage.
