Welcome
Over the past few months, Perth & Kinross Sports Council has seen some changes in the way that we, a dedicated body of sporting volunteers work.
We now meet as an Executive 4 times a year, which includes the AGM. We still have our sub-groups though and meet as follows:
- Grants – every month
- Operations and Special Projects meet as and when needed.
As far as our annual Sports Personality of the Year Awards are concerned, we are continuing to work in partnership with our Sports Development Officers in putting this very important event on. The date for these Awards is 29th March 2012 in the Salutation Hotel, Perth. Clubs and individuals should be thinking now as to who they wish to nominate for one of these many Awards.
The Sports Council is playing an important part in the new Sport Strategic Framework and has also been actively involved by representing the Sports Council on the Community Sports partnerships, which are proving to be very valuable. As the body who supports the sporting volunteer, we can be contacted anytime and we are only too happy to come and speak with any individual or club.
